Lebronze alloys is created through the integration of the different sites.
1879 Swissmetal in Lüdenscheid (Germany) (founded in 1879), taken over by lebronze alloys in 2012
1889 Hundt & Weber in Siegen (Germany), founded in 1889, taken over by lebronze alloys in 2013
1934 Rene LOISEAU founds Le Bronze Industriel, the first company in France to develop wrought copper
structural hardening alloys.
1945 Until 1939, the production was dedicated to the French National Navy, aviation and armaments. Aftter
1945, Le Bronze Industriel significantly develops its production capabilities especially in the Automotive
Industry.
1961 In addition to both factories of Bobigny and Romainville, France, a new production site is created in
Suippes (close to Reims), France, where more elaborated products such as drawn pipes for Marine and
Offshore applications and machined parts are manufactured.
1963 Le Bronze Industriel Deutschland (BID), Germany, a subsidiary company with commercial focus is
created. In the 80´s, BID covers 35 % of the electrodes market in Germany.
1992 Bobigny and Suippes , France, facilities are combined on the Suippes, France, site.
2004 A fully brand new factory of 20 000 m² is inaugurated. The same year, another major investment was
carried out in a new extrusion press of 5.400 metric tonnes.
2006 The Dumont´s family, some private investors as well as few key managers took the company over by
funds. This is the beginning of a new growth and strategic period for the group.
2011/13 External growth forms part of the strategy of Le Bronze Industriel with the acquisition of 10 additional
industrial sites
Bronze Inox in Taverny (France) (founded in 1928)
-- specialised in die/precision chill casting of aluminium bronze.
•Inoforges in Breteuil (France) (founded in 1928), Inoforges Poland, (founded in 2003)
Inoforges Forging & Machnining (Suzhou, China) (founded in 2005)
-- specialist in forging and machining of non-ferrous alloys (brass, copper, aluminium)
• Swissmetal in Lüdenscheid (Germany) (founded in 1879)
-- now Lebronze alloys Germany – producer of wires, bars and profiles in special brass alloys.
• ALSAFIL Sélestat (France) (founded in 1967)
-- acquired from NEXANS GROUP and specialized in casting, rolling, drawing and plating of
copper alloys.
•Hundt & Weber in Siegen (Germany) (founded in 1889)
-- merged with Lbag in 2013, specialist of large dimensional alloy components made from
centrifugal or sand casting
• Forges de Trie Château (France) (founded in 1967)
-- with an historic site in Trie-Château, France and a second one, more recent in Dangu,
France, specialized in forging and stamping small up to very big parts in special steels but
also copper alloys.
